an invitation to come
AS YOU ARE
Sometimes it's easy to forget or move away from who you are and your story. There are many life circumstances that may impact and influence how you feel about and perceive yourself as well as others. Shame, guilt, fear, anxiety, anger, disappointment, sadness, illness, grief, loss and broken relationships are a part of many peoples' life stories yet sometimes it can be difficult to accept those parts of one's journey. I invite you to come with all the pieces of who you are and share your story.
discover, uncover or revive
YOUR
AUTHENTIC SELF.
"Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it...Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light." - Brene Brown
How do I get unstuck?
How do we move past the pain?
Why me? or Why not us?
How do I make the changes I want for my life?
How do we cope with this...? How do I recover?
Why do I feel so lost?
Why isn't __________ working?
Where have I come from? Where am I? Where am I going?
How did we get here?
What and/or who do I value?
What's my purpose? What's my destiny?
Such questions are reflective of what many of the clients I see wrestle with as
they grapple with what has happened, is presently occurring or wonder about how or where their life stories will go. Part of my work as a counselor is to offer you a "compassion zone" where you are able to examine the fullness of your story, with its challenges and questions, receiving support, coaching and problem-solving strategies, as well as practical techniques to use daily where life is happening.

a safe place
TO PROCESS.
It may be challenging to talk with another person about your life story...especially someone you do not know. My goal is to offer compassion, openness and a safe place where we may have an opportunity to establish and build a trusting alliance, create a collaboration to unpack and process the parts of your story that will help you work towards your chosen goals.
I offer a strengths-based, integrative approach, which also includes expressive arts therapy and the Gottman method for couples, where appropriate. Strategies and techniques are integrated to fit your needs as a client.
I am a master's level, seasoned clinician (LCPC) with over 20+ years of experience working with individuals, couples, children and families. Many of the clients I've seen, have experienced me as down to earth, approachable, empathic, encouraging, objective, with creative approaches to support them on their respective paths.
an opportunity to...
LEARN, STRETCH, GROW.
There are many ways to write, re-write and add to one's life story. Although we are unable to erase what has happened in the past or predict what will be in the future, there are spaces in the present, each day, to take small steps towards creating something different in one's life. Counseling offers an opportunity to let go, of that which may have been useful in the past, learn something new and empower yourself to continue walking in the fullness of who you are.
